Perimenopause & Midlife Mental Health Support

Therapy in Collaboration With Medical Care

I provide mental health support for adults experiencing mood and anxiety symptoms associated with perimenopause and midlife transitions. Patients may present with increased anxiety, emotional lability, depressive symptoms, or unfamiliar emotional changes. Services are provided in collaboration with ongoing medical care and do not replace medical evaluation or treatment.

Clinical Context

Perimenopause and midlife transitions can involve overlapping psychological, hormonal, and relational changes. Patients may present with anxiety, low mood, irritability, emotional lability, sleep disruption, or reduced stress tolerance despite previously stable functioning. Symptoms may fluctuate in intensity and occur with or without clear external stressors. Therapy supports emotional regulation and adjustment while patients continue appropriate medical evaluation and treatment.

Collaboration With Medical Providers

Care is provided in collaboration with ongoing medical treatment. Therapy focuses on emotional support, coping, and psychological adjustment while patients remain under the care of their PCP or OB-GYN for medical evaluation and management. Scope of practice is respected, and coordination with medical providers is encouraged as appropriate and with patient consent.
